MONASH ACCOMMODATION

The project comprised construction of a new 600-bed student accommodation facility for Monash University, Clayton Campus. The design was for two five-storey buildings, each containing 300 residential units with associated common facilities and amenities over a total floor area of 22,000m².

The project achieved both a 5 Star Green Star – Multi Unit Residential Design v1 Certified Rating and a 5 Star Green Star – Multi Unit Residential As Built v1 Certified Rating. The project was the first ever to achieve an As Built Certified Rating under the GBCA Multi Unit Residential v1 tool. This was achieved through exceptional passive design in combination with active features, such as grey water treatment and a 153Kw photovoltaic array.
