BARWON HIGH SECURITY PRISON

APM Group successfully delivered the new state of the art, high-security unit at the maximum security HM Barwon Prison in Lara, Victoria.

 

The 40 bed ‘Olearia Unit’ accommodates inmates who pose the greatest security and safety risk or who need to be separated from the other inmate population for their own protection. The Unit includes dedicated interview rooms, visit and program areas, medical facilities and observation cells, as well as the most technologically advanced security systems available. With over 1,200 precast panels and many thousands of cast-in items, the pre-planning and design development process proved to be challenging yet invaluable to the delivery of the defect free result.
