PRESBYTERIAN LADIES' COLLEGE

CLIENT:

Presbyterian Ladies’ College

LOCATION:

Burwood, VIC

DURATION:

56 Weeks

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Working within the occupied environment of the school, APM delivered this complex project with the project team (Root Projects & Cox Architects) scheduling the works program around PLC’s academic calendar. The two storey multifunctional facility incorporates the new library and multiple separate learning spaces, incorporating new Information Technology, Audio Visual and IT design laboratories.

The dynamic architecture of the building was constructed to integrate within the existing operational school and comprised a complete structural steel frame (suspended ground & first) with concrete suspended Bondek slabs, metal roof, perforated metal screens, various external cladding materials and external hard and soft landscaping. APM managed the specialist subcontract trades to deliver the internal fit-out, including faceted timber surfaces and specialist lighting for this impressive educational facility.
