CHISHOLM TAFE, BERWICK TRADE TRAINING CENTRE

CLIENT:

Chisholm Institute of TAFE

LOCATION:

Berwick, VIC

DURATION:

16 Months

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The innovative new centre was constructed in accordance with sustainable building practices and the utilisation of the latest green technologies.  It was also designed with an iconic architectural façade to be a centrepiece of the Berwick campus. The construction of the BTCC is over three levels with a gross area of 4663m2. The project was constructed in separate stages, including the extension and alteration of building B (to cater for Beauty Therapy Expansion) and the new construction of the BTCC and association of external works and car parks. The new training facility incorporates specialist trade equipment and facilities incorporated into the design. Working with Vincent Chrisp Architects, APM designed and managed the external architectural screen façade to the building, alongside specialist subcontractors and draftsman to deliver the complex design to the client’s brief.
