PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
For this new development within the confines of Melbourne Water’s Western Treatment Plant in Werribee, APM Group was engaged for the design and construction of the new Administration Building facility.
This consists of a new single-storey building of 2000m2 in a rural area with fully functional offices and laboratories to support the water treatment plant.
A specific challenge facing this project was the use of precast walls. It was impossible to detail and install. Working with the client and Architect we changed the design to honed blockwork with exposed aggregate to borrow elements from the historical Cocoroc township adjacent.
